Who this helps

Common struggles, often quietly carried

Emotional concerns are common in the aging population and younger residents who require an assisted setting. These concerns are frequently under-recognized. Counseling meets residents where they are with compassion and practical support.

♥

Depression & sadness

Persistent low mood, loss of interest, or feeling that the days have lost their color.

◐

Anxiety & worry

Excessive worry, restlessness, or fear that makes it hard to settle and feel safe.

✿

Grief & loss

Mourning a spouse, family member, or friends — and the many smaller losses that come with them.

⌂

Adjusting to placement

Difficulty adapting to long-term care and the loss of independence and familiar routines.

✚

Chronic & declining health

Coping with chronic illness, medical events, and the emotional weight of a changing body.

◇

Loneliness & life change

Social isolation, family and relationship concerns, and distress around life transitions.

How it works

Simple, collaborative, and dignified

Care is designed to fit into the familiar rhythm of your facility — with full respect for each resident's privacy.

1

Care that comes to them

Onsite mental health counseling in the comfort of the resident's own environment if residing in the Louisville metro area.

2

Covered by Medicare Part B

Services are available to residents with Medicare Part B coverage who are able to benefit from counseling.

3

A simple referral

The referral process is collaborative and can be done through facility staff, family, or the resident by contacting us via phone or email.

4

Focused on quality of life

The goal is real: stronger coping skills, relief from depression and anxiety, room to process grief, and better overall well-being.

An additional resource — not a replacement

Many facilities already have valued relationships with behavioral health providers, and the goal is never to replace them. When a current provider has limited availability, can't accept certain referrals, or when residents request a different provider option, we could be your next resource.

About Melanie

Three decades of caring and practical support

My therapeutic style is warm, relational, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be fully themselves while navigating life transitions and emotional challenges. I take a solution-focused, insight-oriented approach that blends empathy, practical support, and gentle guidance to help build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

I've been drawn to helping others since childhood, fueled by a servant's heart and a gift for attunement and empathy. When I'm not working, I'm deeply family-oriented and treasure quality time with the people I love.
